Owner and Chief Technician

Holly has always been a hand's-on learner, intuitive, "What's this do? What's that do? How do I take this apart, and put it back together?" kind of a person. 

She grew up in Colorado, playing piano, even beginning college as a piano major.  Sitting beside her piano technician while growing up (the same piano technician for over 20 years!!), Holly loved watching everything he did.  Although her career began in  programming databases, she realized running her own business, away from corporations and staring at a computer all day, would be much more fulfilling. 

Holly's technician recommended studying piano tuning, repairing, and rebuilding at North Bennet Street School (NBSS) in Boston. After two years of intense and fully-immersive training at NBSS, she then achieved the title of Registered Piano Technician (RPT) through the Piano Technician's Guild. Holly has since been running her technician business and rebuilding shop in Erie, CO. 

Experiences have included:

• Vice President (1 yr) to President (current) of the Boulder Chapter of the Piano Technician's Guild. Member since 2018

• Apprentice, then Senior Piano Technician at the Aspen Music Festival and School, tuning for students, and performing artists such as

  • Timothy Pitts

• Boston University Assistant Piano Technician

• Dealership prep, tuning, regulation, voicing, and repairs for brands including:

  • New: Yamaha, Bösendor, Schimmel, Estonia, Fazioli

  • Used: Steinway & Sons, Mason & Hamlin, Blüthner, Seiler, August Forrester, many more.

• Assistant rebuilder at personal and other restoration shops
